Who invented wallpaper anyway???
Did someone wake up one day and think it was a great idea to glue paper to their walls? Did they think they'd never tire of it or that the edges would never begin to peel? Someday the paper would need to be removed. I pondered that question for 12 hours while removing wallpaper from my kitchen. There was really only one wall papered - how big of a job could that be? I continued to ponder my initial question for 5 hours the next day while I was scrubbing the glue off of the walls, and then rinsing them off. I pondered some more while I spent the next 2 hours painting the walls with awful-smelling, eye-burning primer (ok, I'm exaggerating a little) just in case I didn't get ALL of the glue off. I finally got around to painting, and I'm still wondering - who in the hell thought it was a good idea to glue paper to walls?
